Best for a first visit

From Cancun: Xplor Park Entry, Full Day

This is the Xplor ticket most first-time visitors should book. It is daytime entry to the adventure park: the zip-line circuits, the amphibious vehicles you drive through the jungle, and the underground rivers you swim or raft. The listing covers all seven activities plus the energy buffet. Transport from Cancun is only included if you pick the option with transportation.

Who it is for: First-time visitors who want the full daylight park, active couples, and older kids or teens who came for zip-lines rather than a culture park.

Three visitors in orange Xplor helmets swimming the underground river at night#2

Best for a night visit

From Riviera Maya: Xplor Fuego Night Park Tickets

Xplor Fuego is the same park after sunset, not a different set of ruins or a beach club. You still zip-line, drive an amphibious vehicle and go through the underground caves, on a shorter evening. GetYourGuide lists this Riviera Maya pickup product at 4.5 from 2 traveller reviews. It is the night ticket type, not a cheaper daytime add-on.

Best if you want more than one park

Parks Package: Xcaret Plus, Xplor, and Xoximilco

This is a real GetYourGuide multi-park package, not a made-up bundle. It pairs Xcaret Plus with Xplor and Xoximilco. Book it only if you want the culture-and-show park and the evening trajineras as well as the zip-lines. It is not a better Xplor ticket. It is three parks.

Which one should you book?

  • Book daytime Xplor Park entry from Cancun if it is your first visit. That is the ticket almost everyone should buy: seven activities in daylight, the longest zip-lines, and a booking you can cancel.
  • Book Xplor Fuego if you want the same park after dark. It is a shorter evening, not a different adventure park.
  • Book the Xcaret Plus, Xplor and Xoximilco package only if you want more than one Grupo Xcaret park. It is not a better Xplor ticket.

Daytime Xplor, Fuego, or a combo

Xplor sits in the Riviera Maya near Playa del Carmen, about an hour to ninety minutes from the Cancun hotel zone depending on traffic. The daytime ticket is the one travellers actually review: zip-lines, amphibious vehicles, underground rivers, rafts and caves, with the energy buffet included. Wear swimwear. Expect to be wet from mid-morning. The park is not a gentle float-and-show day.

Xplor Fuego is the same site after sunset, typically Monday to Saturday from about 5:30pm. You get a shorter circuit and a night atmosphere, not a secret extra zip-line. If you are staying in Cancun and want hotel pickup on the night product, GetYourGuide also sells From Cancun: Xplor Fuego Park Night Tickets from $162. That is the same night park with a Cancun pickup listing, not a fourth ticket type.

The multi-park package is Xcaret Plus plus Xplor plus Xoximilco. Xcaret is the culture-and-show sister park. Xoximilco is the evening trajinera dinner. Do not buy the package to get a better Xplor gate. If you only want Xcaret, that is a different page.

Xplor, not a random Cancun beach

These three GetYourGuide products are Xplor Park or a package that includes it. A jungle ATV tour that happens to mention zip-lines, a cenote swim, or a catamaran is not an Xplor ticket. Xcaret on its own is the sister park: underground rivers and an evening show, not the zip-line circuit.

A longer take on Xcaret versus Xplor sits in Xcaret vs Xplor: which park. For the shorter attraction listing we already publish, see Xplor tickets and tours. This page is the which-to-book comparison.
